A haunting, nostalgic solo violin melody swings between 3 and 4 time leading the listener to a simmering hammered dulcimer solo (which can be improvised upon) over droning strings. The final joyful homecoming section has a celtic flavor and ends triumphantly with full instrumentation. Scored for solo violin, piano, hammered dulcimer, string orchestra and percussion.
